WOW!

~Monday was well just, Wow! We are so lucky! My husband got himself into a car accident. Not just any car accident a 3 car accident. Though his airbags deployed, he is fine and we believe the other two men are all right as well (that's why I feel lucky) . However it was not fun seeing my husband in the back of a State Troopers cruiser with his uniform on (hubby is in the military)! That freaked me out a bit. He was just making a statement but the officer neglected to tell me or my husband this when he stuck him back there. He ended up with a $125.00 ticket for following to close and we have to pay a $50.00 deductible, plus our premium on our car insurance will be going up, also he smashed a car and the rear end of a truck. So that was how our Monday went.

~Tuesday went so much better though we are now down to one vehicle at least we have that so my hubby was able to get to work OK. Our second vehicle has been making a rattling sound in the engine. Well when we took it to the dealership they said it was the fault of the place who changes our oil and that they had broken off a bolt in the engine cover. Now this all does not really interest me until they tell me it was going to cost $150.00 to fix it!!!! So hubby took the Van to our local oil changer and the district manager took the bolt out in 5 minute without ruining or charging us a thing!! Ya! So no money for you Mr. Dealership!!

~Also our son will be 2 this week he is a big boy by his own right. He weighs 35 pounds and his sister who is 4 weighs 34 pounds. People look at us funny when he is riding in the cart and she is walking. But what can I say he has some big boy genes, =). He has had some ear infections and because of this he has a speech delay. So where am I going with this you ask? We are going to be able to get him into an early intervention program! I was afraid when the doctor told us this, that it was going to be one of those long drawn out process' but he has an interview for the speech program on Friday and he will see the speech therapist on the 31st!!

I know these things seem very little and insignificant to some but to me it made my Tuesday great!

Let it Snow!

I do not care for the snow. However I was blessed with 2 little kids who LOVE it! They sure do make it bearable though. I actually got on the sled this past weekend. Who knew sledding could be so much fun ;). Our winter has had some moments in which I have questioned my sanity. We have had a little bit of cabin fever I fear. Our little boy has literally been trying to climb the walls (and the fire place and on tables). He is all boy!
We still have no idea where we are headed to next. I have been afraid we will not be able to sell our home if we do have to move. We have had a neighbor who's house has been on the market for 6 months and has dropped the price by 30,000 and has had no luck selling. I am learning something from this though. I am learning NOT to FEAR.
I can not fear if our house will sell because I can not control our economy. I can not fear where we will move to next, instead I must look at it as an adventure. I will not fear. My mother in law gave me a banner in which I hung in my kitchen and it says "No matter what, No matter where, It's always home if love is there". This has become our motto. So what ever situation you find yourself in on this Friday evening just remember that the Lord does not want you to fear. Trust in Him! And keep the love in your homes because though at times it may seem life is a little rocky your home is where the love is kept. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!

~Life has been crazy like always here. We had to decide where we might want to move to next. The options were kind of different (Germany and the UK being 2 of our choices). Those of you who do not know a lot about the military every few years you get to make the "choice" to stay in the military and move to a new place or get out. So we have decided to stay in and we have put in our choices and we will soon see what we shall see. The kids and hubby have all been sick on top of this decision making so needless to say life has been a little bit stressful. The kids are on the mend and so is my husband (thankfully!!).
~So with this all said I have also started working out, I know this is what a lot of people do after the New Year but I really NEED to do this. You see, I am the Matron of Honor in my Best Friends wedding. I am honored and humbled to hold this title. I just need to work hard now so I can fit in my dress. I have not worn a formal gown in 7 years and I have had 2 kids since then so as my husbands Aunt calls it, I need to work on my "body's inflammation cascade" a bit =).

So my hubby came home and informed me as of right now he will NOT be deployed!! I am so very happy about this! As I would be proud if he were to deploy, I am so glad he is staying in the States with us! Yes I am so very happy!
On another happy note our house is starting to look like Christmas! The stockings are hung, the lights are starting to go up, and in our van we now only play Christmas music. Yes I love Christmas! It was one of my favorite memories as a child. It was the one day out of the year we all got along for at least 4 hours straight =).
So I will be working very hard the next few weeks getting the house ready for our family that is coming to visit, baking cookies, figuring out Christmas dinner, etc. I will post pictures soon =).
Have a good week all!!

Well let me tell you, life sure does get busy when you have little ones! I haven't posted in so long. So what is going on with our crew you ask? Well we have decided not to go back home to see our families for Christmas. Instead we are staying here and my husbands family has decided to come visit us =). This makes me so very happy because it means we can enjoy our home for one last Christmas. That's right our last Christmas in our beautiful home and in the summer we will be moving to a new beautiful home.

I have recently found out my husband may be deploying to Afghanistan in March. So what does that mean? Well while hubby is off fighting for our country, I will be here to hold down the fort. That means I will probably be getting the house ready to sell, I will be a single parent for 5+ months, and I will appreciate my husband 100x more when he gets back.

So wish us luck I will post again soon about some Christmas fun! I hope you and yours had a great Thanksgiving!

~I know summer is coming to an end but say it isn't so?! I feel like this month has flown by. I have so much to do before Christmas! I know what you are thinking its not even October yet. Well my hope is to have the inside of our home complete by then. Plus I have decided to make a lot of our kids Christmas gifts this year. So where do I start?! Well I guess I will start by going from room to room and make a list of what needs to be done, then I will make the Christmas to do list.
~I am also looking for a part time job. As I am a stay at home mom and have been for 4 years this may be tricky getting back into the work force. But like my long list of other things it needs to be done! So a job hunting I shall go!
~I wanted to make a list of things I will miss about summer:
10. Barbeque's! (I love the smell of a good BBQ )
9. All of the beautiful colors of the great outdoors
8. Children's laughter while running through a sprinkler
7. Going on picnics with the family
6. Gardening
5. The sun
4. Ice Pops
3. Garage Sales
2. The Beach
1. FLIP FLOPS!
